- Sandakan 4D is run by Sandakan Turf Club (STC) and licensed for Sabah. It is the smallest of the East Malaysian pools by profile but runs on the same schedule as the rest.
- The prize shape is the standard one: 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize with Special and Consolation positions from the same draw.
- Draws fall on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, plus assigned special draws.

Why Sandakan has its own draw
East Malaysia is a separate licensing world from the peninsula. Sabah and Sarawak each license their own number forecast operators, and a slip bought there is drawn, paid and claimed inside that state's own pool. This is the single most common source of confusion for players who move between the regions: the brands on sale in Kota Kinabalu are not the brands on sale in Kuala Lumpur, and a number that won on one has no standing on the other.
